18.08.09 – Rila Monastery – Blagoevgrad

• This night we slept well, it was warm, the beds were comfortable. At the morning we had breakfast at the cute place Lena saw yesterday, the restaurant with the traditional clothes in it. When we entered the restaurant we chose to seat at the no-smoking area, but unfortunately this area was clear of traditional clothes… The breakfast included: ham & egg for Lena and sirene cheese, fried in egg for me. This fried cheese is something to try at home! In addition we ordered “Pechoni Chushki” that are backed bell peppers in vinegar. For “desert” we had cappuccino and tea…. Read the rest of the entry »

14.08.09 – Sofia – Musala Hut

• We were the first in the room to wake up, tried not to make much noise. Lena went to take a quick shower, and only when she got back I came up from my bed. Breakfast was served from 08:00 till 10:00. We were among the first ones to arrive to the kitchen. We knew they serve pasta and glass of beer in the evening, but unfortunately we couldn’t stay here for another night. So we ate, not much, mainly tomatoes, cheese, sausages, bread with jam, coffee and tea. Read the rest of the entry »
